What are Career Transition Programmes?
Career Transition Programmes, one of the programmes under SkillsFuture Mid-Career Support Package, are designed for mid-career individuals aged 40 to 60 to help them remain employable and gain access to more employment opportunities. Like the SGUnited Skills Programme and SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme - Company Training, they cater to trainees who are seeking to reskill themselves to take on new or enhanced job opportunities. Course fees are also subsidised. However, Career Transition Programmes are of shorter duration and there is no training allowance provided.
What is the SkillsFuture
Mid-Career Support Package?
The SkillsFuture Mid-Career Support Package supports career transition opportunities for locals in their 40s to 50s through the additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) that makes training programmes like the Career Transition Programmes more affordable, provides access to volunteer career advice for workers, as well as hiring incentives to employers.
Components of the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Support Package

Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support)
You would have received an additional SkillsFuture Credit of $500 if you are aged 40 to 60 years in 2020. This is over and above the broad-based top-up of $500 provided to Singaporeans aged 25 years and above in 2020.

Increased capacity of reskilling programmes
There is a wide range of programmes curated based on industry needs with the Professional Conversion Programme, career transition programmes delivered by Continuing Education and Training (CET) centres, and sector-specific programmes such as the TechSkills Accelerator Company-Led Training.

Career guidance
You can get peer-level support and career guidance from a group of volunteer Career Advisors assembled from professional communities to navigate professional pathways.

Hiring Incentive
Under the Jobs Growth Incentive, the Government will co-pay up to 50% of salaries of new local hires aged 40 and above.
With the extra support given to jobseekers, they can upgrade their skills to seize new job opportunities.
